Alternate placing stones on empty intersections. Stones remain where they are placed.
Caro, Standard and Freestyle
Caro needs exactly five in a row with at least one open end; a board edge blocks an end. Standard needs exactly five regardless of blocked ends. Freestyle accepts five or more. Select the variant before starting.
Opening and finish
The first player places black stones. Renju forbidden moves and Swap2 are not used. A full board with no winner is a draw.
